The fair also aims at finding out the inborn abilities of children encouraging
them to strengthen it and imparting training to practice in daily life.
The
competitions are at the school level, sub-district, revenue district, and
state level. The first two place winners at the district level can participate
at the revenue district level and the first two winners at the revenue
district level would become eligible to participate at the state level.
Kerala School Sasthrolsavam
The manual for Science, Maths, Social Science, Work experience, and IT fair
for the LP to Higher Secondary students of the state has been revised. As per
the norms in the revised manual, the competitions for the LP and UP sections
would culminate at the district level whereas the competitions for the High
School And Higher Secondary sections would come to a close at the state level.
The number of items that each section can participate in each fair is given
below.
Kerala School Sasthramela Judgement
The directions for judgments are also made rigorous in the new manual. The
judges at the district level cannot retain the same position for the same item
at the district level. This rule is applicable to the state level also.
Also, only two contestants should be there from the Sub-district
to the district level and from the district to the state level. If any student
is given an appeal by the court or the appealing authority, the qualified
students' performance would be assessed along with this so as to eliminate one
of them and the other two contestants would take part in the next level. The
direction has also been given for video recording of the events from the
sub-district level.
School Sasthramela-Valuation Guidelines & Grace Mark
Those who score 80% of marks or more in an item in the fair would be
considered A grade and they would get 5 points and 20 marks as grace marks.
70% - 79% scorers would be given B grade with 3 points and 15 marks would be
awarded as grace marks. C grade with one point would be given to those getting
60% -69% and 10 marks would be awarded as grace marks. The first, second, and
third-place winners in the state Sasthrolsavam will receive 20, 17, and 14
marks as
grace marks in their public exams, respectively.
Appeal Steps
If the contestant has a complaint in any of the contest results, he/she can give an appeal to review the results. The appeal fee is Rs. 500 at the district level Rs.1500 at the district level and Rs.2000 at the state level. items only in the Science, Maths, Social Science, Work Experience, and
IT fair. But it is not applicable to Quiz items. The participants in the

ReplyDeleteIn state level quiz competition (HS mathematics) 2014 Malayalam version questions were first provided. Only then they skipped to English version and again turned into Malayalam version. As a result Malayalam medium students got about 2 minutes more than those of English medium. I kindly request all teachers engaged in preparing the question paper to exhibit questions in Malayalam and English at the same time as provided in district and sub district level.

ReplyDeleteHi I like to know how to submit a complaint about IT fair 2014 in Tirur in Web page designing. At first when result was published my was on 10th place on WEB Page Designing HSS(Abhijith KA Wayanad), But later after two hours when i checked again I am on 9th position in result, the student just above me has disappeared. I think there is a bug in the results publishing software or it may be a glitch caused by someone hacking into it. So I need to contact the authorities to verify results published with judges scorecard. How can I do so please help?

ReplyDeleteSocial Science Working Model Exhibits Marks shows that the judgement was poor.The quality of Judges and their knowledge about present scientific developments and studies is a must. One of the sensible model exhibited was Geo-Thermal energy which is a proven technology and need of the hour. This was not even considered by the Judges shows their lack of quality. This model should have been at least appreciated.
