Life Insurance Corporation of India has invited applications from the financially backward students for LIC Golden Jubilee scholarship for higher studies-Medicine, Engineering, Diploma, Vocational Courses, ITI and Plus two courses in government and self finance colleges and universities. 20 registered scholarships - 10 for boys and 10 for girls would be given from each divisional centre of LIC for all courses except Plus Two for which 10 special girls' child scholarship are being given. To avail of the scholarship for higher studies, plus two pass with minimum 60 percentage of marks is essential whereas 10th pass with 60 percentage of marks is mandatory for vocational courses including ITI. Moreover, the students should have 55 percentage of marks in the exam in the case of professional courses and 50 percentage for Science and Commerce courses for availing of this scholarship uninterruptedly.
Eligibility for Special girls' child Scholarship
Those who passed SSLC in 2018-19 and studying in plus two now will be considered for this scholarship. Their annual family income should not be more than 1 lakh rupees. . In the case of more applicants, priority will be given to those with low income.
Only one child from each family deserves this privilege. The self employed parents should submit a 'Declaration' in a non judicial stamp paper as proof of income. Others should produce the certificate from their higher authority. The ownership certificate should be attested by the revenue officer. The scholarship amount will be credited to the bank account of the scholars. It would be Rs. 20,000 per year till the end of the course and would be disbursed in three installments and for Plus two course the girl child would get Rs. 10000/year.

Applications for Scholarship should be submitted online https://www.licindia.in/Golden-Jubilee-Foundation on or before 24th December 2019. Print outs of application and copies need not be sent.
