IISc Bangalore: Undergraduate Programme: Admissions for 2021

Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISc) invites applications for Four Year Bachelor of Science-BS. (Research) In this eight semester programme, major disciplines like Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, Materials, Mathematics and Physics are available. In the first three semesters, students must study Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering and Humanities. Three semesters are of specialization paper study. A research-based project must be completed in the last two semesters under the supervision of a faculty member. 

Eligibility:

Candidates who have completed their plus two(or equivalent) examination in 2020 and those who are expecting to complete their plus two(or equivalent) examination in 2021 are eligible to apply. The candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects in their qualifying exam. Candidates who have studied Biology, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science, etc., in addition to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are also eligible to apply. The candidates must have secured a first class or 60% or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.

Selection is based on the Merit list of the following National Examinations

• KVPY
• IIT-JEE Main
• IIT-JEE-Advanced
• NEET-UG
