It is also made that such relinquishment may lead to loss of seniority. Also they will not be entitled to the benefit of time bound promotion from existing grades if applicable. If the employee has got such benefits, he will not be permitted to relinquish promotion to that grade. Entries regarding relinquishment should be made in the service book where as it should be intimated to the AGs office for the gazetted officer. Three copies of statement regarding relinquishment be obtained from such officers. One of the copies should be pasted in the service book but for gazetted post, one copy should be forwarded to the AGs office.
