QUIZPRESS Competition by Kerala Media Academy: How to Register ?

Kerala Media Academy is the one and only self government institute in the media sector. A quiz programme called QUIZPRESS is being conjointly organized by the I&PRD, KITE Victors, C-Dit and ICFOSS for the High school and Higher secondary school students. Apart from Kerala state students, CBSE, ICSE students studying in classes 8-12 can participate. 

The programme will be centered on the topic - Science, Development, Media etc. The best team would be awarded cash prize and Chief Minister's Trophy. The first prize is Rs.50,000 and Rs. 30,000 and 15,000 would be the second and third prize respectively. 

The quiz programme aims at developing thoughts on Science, Development and Media in new generation. Instructions to participants Students studying in classes 8-12 in State, CBSE and ICSE can participate. A team of 2 students from class 8-12 in a school should be recommended by the Principal and one student can’t participate. 14 school teams will be shortlisted for state level competition. The eligibility test will be conducted online jointly by C-Dit, Media Academy and ICFOSS. Two students can appear for eligibility exam. 

The participants are advised to ensure the availability and accessibility of internet. The highest of the two scores of the participants would be considered as school score. Online exam will be followed by online interview by the expert committee for state level selection. Online written test will be held on 19th February at11 am and online interview will be held on 20th February at 11 am.

The medium of questions is Malayalam. The quiz for the selected teams will be on February 25&26 at Russian Cultural Centre, C-Dit studio, Trivandrum. Hon. Minister for Education, Sri V Sivan Kutty will inaugurate the event. Reputed persona G S Pradeep will be the quiz master. Tovino Thomas will be the brand ambassador of QUIZPRESS. 

The first round is of three parts for 4 teams. Quarterfinals is of 3 parts for 3 teams and it will be followed by semifinals with 3 teams participating in a single round. Two teams will be there for the final round. The right to make the necessary changes is with the organizing committee. The travel fare and accommodation for the contestants and two persons accompanying will be there.

The state level offline quiz will be telecast as various episodes in Kite Victors in the name of 'Arivulsavam'.
