CUET (UG)-Application, Syllabus, Selection

Applications are invited for Common Entrance Test(CUET) for admission to various degree courses in Central Universities all over the country from 27th February 2024. The applications will be accepted till 31st of March 2024.

Common University Entrance Test CUET(UG)-2024

CUET will provide a single window opportunity to students to seek admission in any of the Central Universities (CUs) across the country. Candidates who wish to appear for CUET (UG) - 2024 are advised to go through the required eligibility for the desired university for selecting the options from UG Programmes being offered.

The Computer based & Pen and Paper based(Hybrid Mode) CUET test will be conducted in 3 phases. Apart from Malayalam, there would be 12 other languages for the entrance test. 

The Structure of the CUET 2024 Exam

Total subjects	61 (33 languages, 27 domain-specific, and 01 General Test)
Choice of Test Paper	Maximum 06 Test papers (04 or 05 domain subjects including General Test and 01 or 02 languages).
Medium of the Test	13 languages (Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu)
Mode of the Examination	Hybrid mode (Pen & Paper + CBT)
Total Questions	40 out of 50 questions for all test papers and 50 out of 60 for the General Test (choice of 10 questions). Duration for all test papers would be 45 minutes except for Mathematics & Applied Mathematics, Accountancy, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Computer Science/Informatics Practices, and General Tests which would be 60 minutes.

CUET 2024 Syllabus 

All questions in the various testing areas will be bench marked at the level of Class XII. Students who have studied the Class XII NCERT syllabus will be able to do well in CUET (UG)-2024. 

Schedule of CUET Examination 2024

Online application Submission begins	27.02.2024
End of online submission	31.03.2024
Downloading Admit Card	Second Week of May 2024
Date and Time of Examination	Between 15.05.2024 and 31.05.2024
Publication of Results	30.06.2024

CUET 2024 examination will be conducted for a few days in two different sessions, beginning from May 15th, 2024. The duration of the exam and its language/tests will depend on the number of candidates taking it.
