The various kinds of disabilities considered are-
Visually impaired, low vision, leprosy cured persons, deafs and hatd of hearing, loco motor disability, dwarfism, mentally retarded, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, muscular disability, thalassemia. Hemophilia, sickle cell diseases. Multiple disabilities. Acid attack victims. Parkinson’s disease etc.
To avail of the benefits or the concessions of the students, prescribed medical certificate by the board/authority is must. Such students should submit the sufficient documents to the principal.
Considering the physical and mental limitations of the students, the DEO/RDD/Asst Director concerned would recommend and the RDD would sanction the order for allotment of scribe/interpreter/grace time or marks.
Comfortable seating arrangement like ground floor or room adjacent to the entrance would be provided. The visually impaired would be allowed to use the magnifying glass. Guardians of students with autism, cerebral palsy and intellectual disability may be allowed with the permission of the chief superintendent on the condition that they should not help the students for exam.
The students with less than 40% disability will get remedial time on submission of certificate in the prescribed format.
